1/ from the 1. January 2010 is valid within the whole Slovak republic the electronic road Taxing on approximately 2400 km of road network. This causes the increase of carrier’s costs. Road tax is the fee for using the delineated sectors according the gained electronic data and is the income of the road tax administrator – National Motorway Company/ Národná dialničná spoločnosť ,a.s.. Vehicles with the road tax payment duties are valid for motor vehicles above 3,5 tons or driving sets with the total weight above 3,5 tons assigned for transport of goods and motor vehicles enabling to transport more than 9 people including the driver. The fee of road tax is given per 1 km of driven delineated sector distance depending on the vehicle’s category, number of axles and emission class and is defined by the regulation of Slovak republic no. 350/2007 Z.z. in valid wording by which is given the height of the road tax cost for using the delineated sectors of road communications. Also as by all road taxes and payments of forwarding companies, also we DB Schenker are the payer towards the state. Because of this fact we are forced the already mentioned implementation of road tax system include in fully extent in our price offers. This way we would like to ask you for your understanding and acceptance according the political frame conditions which have caused this measurement.

This way, the transportation costs will become more transparent and the road tax deviation could be controlled also by a calculator placed by the beginning of the year on our web page.
